Markus Campbell-Savours, Member of Parliament for Penrith and Solway.
Markus was born and grew up in Cumbria.
He was educated at Keswick School and has a BSc in Financial Economics from Birkbeck, University of London.
Before becoming Labour MP for Penrith and Solway in July 2024, Markus worked in construction as an Electrical Contracts Manager. He has served as a Councillor at Parish, District and Unitary Authority level and was previously Portfolio Holder for Transformation and Governance, Adults and Community Health on the newly formed Cumberland Council.
